Porcelain slabs are less than natural stones, may be a great alternative offering less maintenance than marble countertops with a simil style and finish.
Porcelain manufacturing has grown over the years since it was introduced. Arizona homeowners will be pleased to hear that there are many patterns and colors available to achieve any desired color scheme desired. Porcelain slabs are relatively consistent from slab to slab since it is an engineered stone making them appear as if they were wood surfaces, marble surfaces, or steel like surfaces.
Because porcelain is not through body color we only recommend three edge designs; eased, small bevel, or a mitered edge. This means that the veining or design on top does not transfer to the edge. Therefore, the edge, unless mitered, will be a solid color tone. This is important to keep in mind when planning design projects.
Porcelain is manufactured in a way that makes the product very durable. It is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and heat-resistant. Porcelain can stand up to constant exposure to sunlight and will not fade the color, which means it is an ideal choice for an outdoor kitchen or bar.
